NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
INTRODUCTORY LOCAL LAW 5 OF 2016
VILLAGE OF WALDEN
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Walden will hold a Public Hearing on June 7, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as can be heard at the Village Hall, One Municipal Square, Walden, NY 12586 to consider the adoption of Introductory Local Law No. 5 of 2016. The purpose of said local law is to impose a six moratorium that will stop the processing of applications for, and the issuance of any permits, certificates of occupancy and approvals for certain land uses relating to solar energy, including but not limited to solar arrays and solar farms or any and all solar installations except for roof-mounted solar panels. The moratorium is for a period of six (6) months which is intended to provide adequate time for the Village Board to analyze and determine potential appropriate revisions and amendments to the Village of Walden Zoning Code concerning this use. This Local Law is subject to renewal for an additional six (6) months, if necessary, by Resolution of the Village Board.
A copy of the proposed local law is available for public inspection at the Village Clerk’s Office at One Municipal Square, Walden, NY during regular business hours. It is also available on the Village website www.villageofwalden.org (Click here to view the draft local law)
At the above date, time and place, all interested persons will be heard. Written comments will be received no later than June 7, 2016.
