ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

 

     NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN that, pursuant to 7-712-a of the NYS Village Law, that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Walden, New York, will hold a public hearing on the 15th day of March, 2017 at 8:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard that day at Village Hall, 1 Municipal Square, Walden, New York  12586 on the appeal of PEOPLE, INC. and Pathways Community Support Services, Inc. as applicant, upon the determination of the Building Inspector, Dean Stickles that the proposed use of applicant’s property known as “Rose House” would not qualify as a “family” under the definition therefore in the Village Zoning Code, 305-3 “Definitions” and 305 “Attachment 1-Table of Use Regulations” and further upon the applicant’s request for a “reasonable accommodation” to be afforded the residents of the Rose House by finding that the Rose House is the functional equivalent of a “family” use under the Village of Walden’s Zoning Code.

    The lands affected by this application are located within the R-5 (single family) Zoning District, at 108 Ulster Avenue in the Village of Walden and shown generally on the Tax Map of the Village of Walden as Section  303, Block 1, Lot 13. A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the office of the Building Inspector during regular business hours. The meeting is open to the public.
