The Summer Youth Leadership Academy is a development program open to Village of Walden Youth entering the 8th or 9th grade. The program runs from July 14, 2014 through August 8, 2014 Monday Through Friday 9am-3pm at Wooster Grove Memorial Park (except for special circumstances such as extended filed trips for which an individual permission slip will be provided). Participants will learn:
- The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens
- Community and service learning projects
- Organizational and teamwork training, including team leadership training
- Training in decision making, including goal-setting and determining priorities
- Citizenship
- Positive Social Behaviors
